As part of the Association of Church Accountants and Treasurers’ (ACAT) commitment to regional training for church treasurers, an ACAT Training Workshop 6 is being held at:

St Luke’s Church Centre, Great Colmore Street, Lee Bank , BIRMINGHAM B15 2AT

on Wednesday 7th June from 9.30am to 4.00pm .

We are delighted to be joined by a guest speaker for this Workshop day, which looks in detail at Gift Aid & GASDS, and explores how software can help the treasurer. Delegates will take part in sessions on:

• Gift Aid & GASDS: The rules – Qualifying payments; what can be given; by whom; special circumstances; appeals; declarations. HMRC Audits – speaker: Allan Hargreaves – ACAT Tutor
• I.T: What details do I need to record? How to submit a claim using software. What happens if something goes wrong? – speaker: Stephen Hendy – Data Developments
• Gift Aid & GASDS: A medley of situations – pit your wits against the inspector! – speaker: Allan Hargreaves – ACAT Tutor

The cost for this training day is £45 and includes all course material, refreshments and a buffet lunch. Registration will be from 9.30 am onwards for a prompt start at 10.00 am and will finish at 4.00 pm. Please book early to secure your place if you wish to attend. You do not have to be a member of ACAT to take part in our training.
