The World Community for Christian Meditation in the UK (WCCM)
Meditation can be incorporated into any one’s daily life solely for its health benefits of reducing stress, calming the mind, promoting a sense of well-being. In the Christian Tradition it is also known as “Contemplative Prayer”, “Silent Prayer” of “Prayer of The Heart”.
John Main OSB – “Meditation is a way of peace and a way to peace…this peace power is the core and foundation of our very being.”
WCCM Christian Meditation groups meeting in Birmingham.

Selly Oak, Day of Group, Friday, 19:30 – 21:00, weekly.
Kings Heath, Day of Group, Monday, 19:45 – 20:45.
The WCCM Christian Meditation groups are formed out of the gathering of people searching for “something to help them” live more calmly in our busy, stressful, increasingly secular contemporary way of life, which they continue to discover and experience in the simple, peaceful contemplative practice rediscovered by John Main OSB, founder of The World Community for Christian Meditation (WCCM).
John Main OSB – “The important aim in Christian Meditation is to allow God’s mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality but the reality which gives meaning, shape and purpose to everything we do, everything we are.”
