New Creation Time resources Available for Download

August 16th, 2018

Did you know that 1st September to 4th October is Creation Time?

Traditionally the time of year for Harvest Festivals and giving thanks to God for the food we eat, in recent years it has increasingly become a season to think more seriously about ecological issues and the impact of our churches and ourselves on our world.

This year Churches Together in Britain and Ireland are among a number of denominations and agencies providing resources in partnership for Creation Time or the Season of Creation 2018.

Their website has resources from:

  • A Rocha UK, which is encouraging churches to celebrate Creation Time 2018 by holding a Green Communion
  • CAFOD, reflecting Pope Francis’s call to establish 1st September as the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, with ideas, liturgy and prayers
  • The Church of England, with Creationtide resources including new morning, evening and all age liturgy, and daily readings, discussion materials and action sheets
  • Eco-Congregation Scotland: resources from an ecumenical writing group following the theme of ‘Passing our Planet on: God’s Gift to us’

Click to find the resources via the Churches Together website.
