This weekend the Taizé community are leading a weekend for young adults in partnership with the churches of Birmingham. Around six hundred young adults from twenty different countries will be coming to Birmingham, they will be welcomed by Christians across Birmingham from many different denominations and church traditions.

Those of any age are welcome to join in with the programme for the weekend, here are the details of what’s happening

There will be an information point at the Church at Carrs Lane, open all weekend.

Prayer
During the weekend there will be regular times of worship. Everyone is welcome to all of these services

Friday: 7.30pm – St. Martin in the Bullring

Saturday
9.15am – Morning Prayer in nine different locations across the city:
Hodge Hill Church, Sacred Heart (Aston), St. Nicholas (Boldmere), St. Paul (Great Barr) Life & Light Fellowship (Handsworth), Selly Oak Methodist, St. Dunstan (King’s Heath), Northfield Baptist, and Cotteridge Church.

1.15pm – St. Martin in the Bullring

7.00pm – St. Martin in the Bullring
(Biblical Reflection: Br. Alois, Prior of Taizé )

Sunday
7.30pm – St. Martin in the Bullring
(Biblical Reflection: Rev Dr. Rowan Williams)

Monday
10.30am – St. Chad’s Cathedral

Hidden Treasure Exhibition
On Saturday and Sunday at The Church at Carrs Lane (B4 7SX) the Real Junk Food Project will provide refreshments, there will be a Taizé bookshop, information about many of the participating organisations, and as usual the Carrs Lane Traidcraft shop.

Workshops
There will be a programme of workshops on both Saturday and Sunday Afternoons, the full programme can be seen here:
