Unity as an Experience of God: Reflections on the Focolare Movement

May 23rd, 2018

Callan Slipper is the National Ecumenical Officer for the Church of England and has lived most of his adult life with Focolare, founded by Chiara Lubich.

In April 2018 Callan was invited to share in a World Council of Churches session on the contribution of Chiara Lubich to the international cause of Christian unity, by providing a reflection and paper entitled, ‘Unity as an Experience of God: A Glimpse of Chiara Lubich’s Spirituality of Unity’.

The occasion was a combined celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the WCC, which is being marked by church leaders and events throughout the year, and the 10th Anniversary since the death of Chiara Lubich, founder of the Focolare Movement.

The paper is now available as a resource to download, and the session was also video recorded and uploaded to Youtube.
