Volunteer Helpline Assistant (Birmingham Mind)

Volunteer Helpline Assistant

As a volunteer at Birmingham Mind’s Helpline, you would be a valued member of a lively and supportive team who answer phone calls and messages concerning mental health and wellbeing. Volunteers receive comprehensive training and supervision, and gain many useful skills. Reimbursement for travel and meal expenses are available.

You must be over 18 years of age and be able to attend our Beechcroft Centre in Erdington (B23 7JG). After training is completed, to consolidate learning, we suggest a minimum of 1 x 4 hour shift per week. Shifts are available between 9am and 11pm, 7 days a week. This opportunity is not suitable for work placements or student experience.

The application process will include an informal interview at Beechcroft, a reference, DBS check and signature of our confidentiality statement.
