Climate Relay to come through Birmingham

Ahead of the international COP26 Climate conference to be held from 1 to 12 November 2021, the ‘Young Christian Climate Network‘ is organising a relay from St Ives (Cornwall) to Glasgow. The walk will begin in St Ives on 11 June (when the G7 Summit is taking place there) and arrive in COP26 conference venue Glasgow on 30 October.

En route, ‘Residency Hubs‘ will be held in Exeter, Bristol, Reading, London, Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, York, Newcastle and Edinburgh. The walk will arrive in Birmingham from the south-east on Monday 23 August. The Birmingham Residency Hub will be held from Tuesday 24 to Thursday 26 August. The pilgrimage will head north-east to Curdworth on Friday 27 and on into Tamworth on Saturday 28 August.

YCCN is asking for help with organisation, planning, accommodation, walking, hosting and campaigning. All information about how to get involved, including a detailed map of the relay route, can be found HERE.
