Training Courses for Church Treasurers

As part of ACAT’s commitment to regional training for church treasurers, they are returning to Birmingham in the Autumn to run two training courses.


The Foundation Course will cover:

  • The Role of the Treasurer
  • Legal & Financial Overview
  • Principles of Charity Accounting
  • Gift Aid and GASDS
  • Year-end Routines
  • VAT and LPWGS

Whether you are new to the role or have been in post for many years, you will find something in the course to benefit you.  The cost is £45 and includes all course material, refreshments and a buffet lunch.  Registration will be from 9.30 am onwards for a prompt start at 10.00 am and the course will finish by 4.00 pm. The GDPR Workshop is an opportunity to review your church’s implementation of this important new legislation and to discuss some of the issues which have been identified so far. It takes a practical approach which is designed to be relevant to the church situation.

Registration for this half-day event is from 9.30am, with the workshop itself running from 10am to 12.45pm. The cost is £30 and includes all materials and refreshments. Further information is available at
