Jonny Lee reports about Frontline Generation event in the city in October.
“Three regions, twenty churches or organisations represented and an incredible twelve hours! Frontline Birmingham, gathered 250 young people to pray for and in the city centre of Birmingham under the mandate Take Back The City!
The afternoon experience of praying in strategic locations on mass through the city was compelling, starting at the Rep theatre praying for Arts and Entertainment,
we progressed to the Council House
and then on to St Philips Cathedral where we were confronted by hundreds of Manchester City fans being escorted to Snow Hill station! The youth chanted ‘Jesus’ in reply to their singing! The prayer space in the cathedral grounds partnered with Healing on the Streets and saw an incredible afternoon of prayer, opportunity and witness!
The next leg saw prayer outside the law courts, the children’s hospital in front of the teenage cancer trust (very moving), University campuses and the Bull Ring at 3:40 Saturday afternoon in such a huge crowd they all knelt and declared the Lord’s Prayer in the middle of that area!
The fruit is yet unseen but the significance compelling for how God can mobilise and move for the future!
A young generation on the Frontline!”
