Birmingham Bishop Joe Aldred Publishes New Book

Birmingham-based Pentecostal Bishop and Churches Together England (CTE) Officer Joe Aldred has edited a new book entitled ‘Pentecostals and Charismatics in Britain: An Anthology’.

“Pentecostals and Charismatics in Britain draws upon the scholarship of eminent academics and practitioners in the field of Pentecostal and Charismatic studies, who together consider the history of pentecostal and charismatic movements, their relationship with mainline Christian churches and their engagement with the social, economic and political world.”

Joe Aldred is a full time member of staff with CTE with responsibility for Pentecostal and Multicultural Relations, and a Bishop in the Church of God of Prohecy. He is a broadcaster as well as ecumenist, providing Pause for Thought for BBC and hosting his own radio programe for BBC WM 95.6. He has written a number of books, including Respect, about understanding Caribbean British Christianity, and Thinking Outside the Box.
