Birmingham Churches Together are recruiting an Honorary Treasurer to join the Trustees of Birmingham Churches Together. This is a voluntary role.

The Trustees of Birmingham Churches Together are: Presidents of BCT (Anglican Bishop of Birmingham, Catholic Archbishop of Birmingham, Free Churches Moderator), Chair and Secretary of Coordinating Group and representatives of BCT projects. The Trustees are served by the Ecumenical Development Officer.

Job Summary
General oversight of finance pertaining to Birmingham Churches Together.

Oversight of BCT finances
Liaise with the BCT Ecumenical Development Office to ensure the efficient day to day management of its accounts.
Ensure that the annual subscriptions are invited from member Churches of Birmingham Churches Together and local Churches Together groups.
Consult each 5 years with denominational treasurers to discuss future level of subscriptions.
Annual accounts
Prepare BCT Ecumenical Development Office annual accounts for independent examination.
Liaise with BCT project Treasurers to ensure all BCT accounts are presented for independent examination.
Liaise with independent examiner.
Complete annual Charity Commission returns
Prepare an annual budget for BCT Development Office along with a table of subscriptions for Trustees

Trustees, 3x a year, 9.30-11.00am at various locations
Coordinating group, 3x a year during the daytime in the BCT offices.
