Get a Grant to Deliver the Creative English Programme – Deadline Extended until May 15th

May 10th, 2018

Creative English is a fun programme aimed at people with very little, or no spoken English skills to raise learner confidence and help create a sense of belonging.

Through role play and lots of fun activities, the course is designed to equip learners with the skills and confidence to engage with conversations they might encounter within the community. It has been delivered nationally since 2014, with excellent results so far – 100% of learners who attended 10 or more sessions reported an increase in confidence and large proportions going on to access other services within their community as a result.

The programme has a big emphasis on fun and is created to be delivered by volunteers within the community. By providing lesson plans and a box of resources, all the hard work is done, so the two hour long sessions can be facilitated with very little preparation time and (hopefully) a lot of laughter!

The Creative English programme is normally available via the purchase of a licence, but for a very short period, we are inviting eligible, faith-based and community organisations to apply for a grant of £5000 to deliver in their area. On top of the grant, successful applicants will be loaned a Creative English resource kit and have access to support for the funded period – This will be by telephone and visits in person by the Creative English team from FaithAction.

The deadline has been extended until Tuesday 15th May.  Find out more and apply now at the Creative English website.
