Together, Sunday 5th July, 5.00pm

At 5.00pm on Sunday, everyone is being asked to join with others in their streets and neighbourhoods to clap NHS staff. Sunday 5th July is the 72nd birthday of the NHS, which provides an opportunity to thank those who have done an amazing job during the biggest health challenge they have ever faced. Key workers and all who have volunteered and helped to keep services and community networks going during the lockdown are also to be included in the corporate thankyou.

Leading up to 5th July, everyone is invited to say a personal thankyou to someone who matters to them by displaying a poster in the front window of their homes. This includes nurses and doctors, posties and delivery people, relatives and neighbours. Ready-made posters are available to download HERE.

The Chair of the ‘Together’ Steering Group behind this initiative is Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby. ‘Together’ is a coalition of organisations across sport, culture, religion, charities and grassroots community groups, with the aim of bridging the divides of the recent past and strengthening communities over the decade to come. ‘Together’ has the support of West Midlands Mayor Andy Street and other civic leaders.

More information about ‘Together’ can be found at THIS ADDRESS.
