Changes in the Diocese of Birmingham

Revd Kate Stowe, who has been Chaplain to Bishop David Urquhart, has been appointed to the living of St Peter’s, Harborne. Bishop David said, ‘Kate has been an outstanding support to me and the Bishop’s ministry for nine years and has been appreciated widely across the Diocese, not least by clergy colleagues. Please pray for Kate as she is licensed on Sunday 6th September 2020 and for her and the family as they move into the Vicarage. I am delighted that we will still

be neighbours.’

Bishop David has announced that the Revd Rebecca Allen and the Revd Jessica Foster will take up half-time posts as Bishop’s Chaplains with effect from Monday 7th September 2020. Their specific roles and the detailed arrangements will be published in due course. They will also continue with their current half-time responsibilities, Rebecca as priest-in-charge of St Columba’s, Banners Gate and Jessica as lecturer and tutor at the Queen’s Foundation.
Bishop David said, ‘I look forward to welcoming Beccy and Jess to the team and to working together to make a success of our new hybrid world and the next
steps for the CofE Birmingham family in these changing times.’
