New CEO for Birmingham City Mission

As Birmingham City Mission marks its diamond anniversary year, Giles Coghlan is honoured to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer.

“Birmingham City Mission has played a deeply significant role in my life and ministry, and it is a privilege to return in this capacity. My desire is to serve the Mission faithfully, support those already carrying out this important work, and help ensure that the Gospel continues to be proclaimed clearly across Birmingham for many years to come.”

Giles brings together experience from Christian ministry and mission, alongside a background in the financial world and enterprise.

For 60 years, Birmingham City Mission has sought to cross barriers and share the Christian faith across the city through both proclamation, teaching, and practical works of service. This includes supporting older people, those experiencing homelessness, people facing financial hardship, and children and families through work in schools and communities.
