Church called to sing hymns on Easter Sunday

‘Sing resurrection’

Easter Sunday, 12 April 2020, will be unlike any other. We will not be able to celebrate together in our church congregations, but the suggestion is that, at 10.00am on Easter Sunday morning, Christians all over the country celebrate the resurrection by going outside and singing the well-known hymns ‘Jesus Christ is Risen Today’ and ‘Thine be the Glory, risen, conquering Son’ at the top of their voices!

‘Sing resurrection’ is being promoted by, among others, Churches Together in England and Churches Together in Britain and Ireland.
