Unity Prayer: East Birmingham is an ecumenical group which has run prayer evenings in and for the east side of the city for the last eight years. The group meets from 7.00pm to -9.00pm on the second Saturday of each month (excluding August) at a different East Birmingham church venue on each occasion. The prayer meetings typically begin with sung worship, interspersed with (or followed by) times of prayer. Drinks and simple refreshments are provided. Approximately 30 churches are connected to the initiative at the present time. The group coordinators are Alan Holdsworth (Gas Street Church) and Kathryn Alvis (Glebe Farm Baptist Church).
