‘Fulfil’ youth event on Friday evening

Birmingham City Mission will premiere another ‘Fulfil’ youth event on its ‘BCM Youth’ YouTube channel at 7.30pm on Friday evening, 20 November. BCM is asking the city’s youth group leaders to encourage their young people to invite their friends to join the event, in order to hear about Jesus. BCM is encouraging as much engagement as possible from youth groups during the evening through posting comments on the YoutTube channel. People will need to be logged in to their Google account in order to respond.

The focus will be on the ‘Good news’ of the Gospel – why people need to hear the good news and the difference the gospel makes in daily life. A number of youth leaders have submitted short videos answering this question. Some of the videos will be shown on Friday evening, while others will be shown at a later date. Jay Smith of the ‘Digital Gospel’ will bring a gospel theme in his talk, as will singer ‘A Star’ through his tracks and spoken pieces. ‘Fulfil’ strongly believes that the Gospel is the best news in the world which young people – whether Christian or not-yet Christian – need to hear and be inspired by.

A crib sheet containing questions for youth leaders to discuss with their youth groups after the ‘Fulfil’ event is available. Youth leaders are encouraged to set up an online chat with their young people straight after the event, which will end around 8.15pm. This will act as a follow-up about what young people have learned and enable questions they may have to be answered.

BCM’s YouTube channel can be accessed via THIS LINK. Watch a taster video of the event HERE. To receive the crib sheet for after-event conversations, contact John Platt at THIS ADDRESS.
