Justice and Peace Assembly

The Annual Assembly of the Birmingham Diocesan Justice and Peace Commission will take place in the Grimshaw Room, St Chad’s Cathedral, 3540 St Chads Queensway, Birmingham B4 6HJ, on Saturday 28 October, from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

The focus of the 2023 Assembly will be ‘Climate Action: responding to the climate crises in our homes, parishes and communities.’ Diocesan Trustee Tom Piotrowski and Fr Robert Taylerson, Spiritual Director at St Mary’s College, Oscott, will be the guest speakers. The gathering will also include opportunity for discussion and feedback.

The Justice and Peace Commission aims to inform on the theology, spirituality and practice of Justice and Peace throughout the Birmingham Roman Catholic Archdiocese and provide the Archbishop with advice when required in matters regarding Justice and Peace. The Commission encourages parishes and schools to get involved in the Justice and Peace movement. It covers global issues such as cancelling the debts of the world’s poorest countries, the environment, housing and homelessness, supporting refugees and asylum seekers, and human rights.
