The Interfaith Network has been promoting understanding, cooperation and good relations between organisations and persons of different faiths in the UK since 1987.

On the 22nd February the Interfaith Network released the following:

Today the Board of Trustees of the Inter Faith Network for the UK met today. It has, with much regret, agreed that the charity will close. This is linked to withdrawal by Government of funding for July 2023-March 2024 offered in July 2023, subject to conditions. In a letter to IFN’s Co-Chairs from Secretary of State Rt Hon Michael Gove MP of 21 February, it was confirmed that the offer of funding was being withdrawn.

CTBI Deputy General Secretary, the Revd Dr Peter Colwell, has shared a reflection on the importance of inter faith work and the role that IFN has played over the years.

Paul Weller from Baptists Together Interfaith Working group has encouraged Baptists to protest the decision HERE.

and Quakers in Britain called on the Government to reconsider the withdrawal of funding.
