Online youth event from Birmingham City Mission

The next online ‘Fulfil’ youth event from Birmingham City Mission will take place on Friday 9 July, starting at 7.30pm. The event will include songs, a message, a challenge, a ‘lockdown sketch’ and contributions from young people and youth leaders. ‘Fulfil’ will last for around 70 minutes. Questions will be provided to enable youth groups to hold a follow-on conversation at the conclusion of the gathering. The aim of ‘Fulfil’ events is to help young people – whether Christian or not – to grow in their understanding of Jesus. ‘Fulfil’ also seeks to support youth leaders in their outreach and their discipleship of young people.

Music at the 9 July event will be provided by Faithchild, a MOBO and multi-award winning rapper and one of the UK’s top contemporary Christian artists. Faithchild will bring his eclectic mix of Hip hop, Electro and Pop to ‘Fulfil,’ each song containing thought-provoking lyrics and powerful Biblical messages. Guest speaker will be apologist and evangelist Clare Williams. Clare is a former teacher and youth worker, who has studied Leadership, Theology and Culture, Diaspora and Ethnicity at post-graduate level. Clare has a passion for the Gospel and apologetics, and is keen to equip people to share their faith and to answer common questions. She therefore recently founded ‘Real Questions,’ which seeks to engage with ‘big questions about the Christian faith,’ including ‘issues concerning identity, race and religion which are increasingly prevalent in cultural debates.’ Clare is an academic with the ability to connect on a popular level with young people.
