In collaboration with the Birmingham PlayCare Network, the Edgbaston Foundation, the Birmingham Mail, Warwickshire County Cricket Club and Birmingham Live, Thrive Together Birmingham is once again collecting new (or good-as-new) toys, crafts and books to help children aged 0 – 16 in Birmingham.
Toys4Birmingham aims to reach every child in temporary accommodation in Birmingham, many of whom are refugee or asylum seekers, as well as victims of domestic violence and other crises. Thrive Together Birmingham is working with Children’s Centres and Health Visitors to identify the beneficiaries and match the gifts to the individual children, so that each receives something they want.
Toys, crafts and books can be delivered (unwrapped!) to at the Edgbaston Cricket Stadium, B5 7QU, between 10.00am and 2.00pm on Saturdays 3 and 10 December. Alternatively, make a financial donation towards the purchase of toys via www.thrivetogetherbham.org/toys. In addition, an Amazon Wish List has been set up (Link HERE), so that people can buy gifts, which will be delivered to the Edgbaston Stadium.
