Churches Together in Harborne

Join Churches Together in Harborne, as members of local churches prayer walk around Harborne on Good Friday.


Churches Together in  Central Solihull

You are welcome to join us on Good Friday (3 April) for the Walk of Witness organised by Churches Together in Central Solihull.

The walk will start from outside St Augustine’s Church (1 Herbert Road, B91 3QE) at 11:00am. It will follow a route along Station Road and into the High Street and then on to Mell Square. Here there will be a short act of worship. The walk then continues to the corner of Drury Lane and the High Street (close to St Alphege Church) where there will be some concluding prayers.

B30 Churches Together 

11.15am walkers will gather with a Cross at the Cotteridge Church to join those attending the 10.30am Morning Worship. Walking round to the traffic lights on Pershore Rd, there crossing over to Watford Rd, then crossing Watford Rd at the traffic lights and walking to the Cotteridge Friends Meeting House

11.10am walkers will gather with a Cross outside St Joseph’s on Station Rd. Crossing over Station Rd and walking onto Northfield Rd then crossing over by the bus stop to walk down Northfield Rd to Watford Rd turning right to the Cotteridge Friends Meeting House.

11:25 walkers will gather at the Rowheath Pavilion Church with a Cross. Walking along Heath Rd crossing Selly Oak Rd and into Maryvale Rd. At the junction with Linden Rd turning right to cross over at the lights to walk down to Beaumont Rd to meet the rest of the walkers.

11:25 following a period of silence the groups of walkers from Cotteridge Church and St Joseph’s will cross Watford Rd at the lights to walk down to Beaumont Rd to meet the party of walkers coming from Rowheath.

11:35 all three groups will meet outside old Bournville URC building in Beaumont Rd after a pause for silence they will leave at 11:40.

All of the walkers will then return to Watford Rd to carry on over Maryvale Road to St Francis at Bournville Green; arriving in time for a short prayer led by St Francis for the beginning of the 12noon service.

The walkers will then disperse to their homes, Churches or into St Francis for the Good Friday Service.
