West Midlands Faith Alliance

The West Midlands Faith Alliance is a multi-faith and community-led network, now consisting of over 430 members, that is working to equip, enable and empower communities of all faiths and none to better understand and prevent violence. The Faith Alliance, supported and facilitated by the West Midlands Violence Reduction Partnership (VRP), is the first regional network of its kind in the United Kingdom.

We are delighted to announce Tuesday 14th November 2023 (6-8pm), during Inter-Faith Week, as the launch date for the West Midlands Faith Alliance’s 3-year strategy. A multi-stage process of community co-production has been underway for the last several weeks and we are looking forward to sharing the key priorities that faith communities and young people would like the Faith Alliance network to focus on between 2024-26.

As we look forward to the years ahead, we are keen to ensure that the Faith Alliance makes tangible and positive differences to the lives of young people and communities in the West Midlands, and contributes towards an overall reduction in violence across the region.

The launch event, hosted at the Nishkam Centre (Handsworth, Birmingham), will be a hybrid event enabling guests the option to attend in-person or online. The programme will include speeches, presentations, and time for questions and answers. For in-person guests, the evening will conclude with a buffet dinner and networking. A more detailed agenda will be shared in due course.

We do hope you can join us for this ground-breaking event, as we launch our strategy and continue our journey to make the West Midlands a safer place for all.
