During Black History Month, the annual Windrush International Conference will take place at The Edgbaston Park Hotel & Conference Centre, Edgbaston Park Road, Birmingham B15 2RS, from 9.00am to 4.00pm on Friday 24 October.
This significant gathering will bring together campaigners, members of the legal profession, advocates, representatives of the Home Office and international representatives to continue the vital work surrounding the Windrush legacy and justice.
In attendance will be Windrush Commissioner Reverend Clive Foster MBE and senior Home Office Directors. George Lee, who has finally returned to the UK, having been stranded in Poland for 25 years, will share his story. There will also be presentations from Windrush National Organisation Chair, Bishop Dr. Desmond Jaddoo MBE, WNO Vice Chair Glenda Caesar, the Black Equity Organisation, Action for Race Equality and Birmingham City University.
A voluntary contribution of £20 is requested to support the day conference. Further details and registration HERE.

Also on Friday 24 October, a WNO evening of celebration and fundraising will take place from 6.00pm to 1.00am. The Dinner Dance consists of a three-course dinner, a raffle, and performances by a comedian and singers. Further details and registration HERE.
