Bishop Dr. Desmond Jaddoo MBE is arranging prayers this Friday following the news that Birmingham is in a state of bankruptcy.
‘It is time for us as people of faith to show leadership as we are the custodians of Birmingham. I have been reminded of Jeremiah 29 v 7 “And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.”
Therefore can we all gather for a time of prayer for our City which has many issues and this will of course impact upon the poor and vulnerable, who are already suffering and this will be exacerbated by this crisis.’
