During the international Catholic ‘Pilgrims of Hope’ Jubilee Year, social action agency Father Hudson’s Caritas has developed a ‘Pilgrimage of Hope’ embracing ten locations around Birmingham City Centre.
The pilgrimage will be launched between 11.00am and 3.00pm on Thursday 3 July, when refreshments will be available in the Grimshaw Room of St Chad’s Cathedral and members of Father Hudson’s Caritas team will be available to discuss the charity’s work and their role within it. Some Father Hudson’s Caritas’s projects en route, such as Tabor Living, will be open between 11.00am and 3.00pm on 3 July, to enable pilgrims to speak to the staff who support people experiencing homelessness in the city. Mass will take place at 12:15 pm at St Chad’s Cathedral.

Following the launch, the self-guided pilgrimage can be undertaken at any time. It begins and ends at St Chad’s Cathedral and takes about 90 minutes to complete, not counting stops. The Pilgrimage of Hope is a self-directed walk supported by a booklet of reflections, prayers and ideas for social action.
