With the blessing and participation of His Eminence Atanasie, the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of the Great Britain and Northern Ireland, together with the ‘Nepsis UK Youth Fellowship’ and the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Saint Andrew the Apostle and Saint Nectarios, young people from around the UK will take part in the ‘Nepsis UK Congress 2025’ to be held in Birmingham from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 November. ‘Nepsis’ translates into English as ‘alertness’ or ‘watchfulness,’ signifying the preparation of heart and mind to engage in prayer.

The special guest speaker will be Fr Professor Constantin Necula from the St Andrew Șaguna Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Sibiu (Romania). Fr Constantin will address the conference on the subject of ‘With Christ through the Mysteries of the Church.’ Fr Constantin asks, ‘In a world lacking reference points, the Mysteries of the Church remain witnesses of the Saviour’s presence in our lives. His call to us demands our response. Are we present? God is with you — but are we with Him?’
All sessions (except for Friday’s visit to Birmingham City Centre) will take place at the Romanian Orthodox Parish of Saint Andrew the Apostle and Saint Nectarios, meeting at Saint Anthony’s Church, 57 Oakthorpe Drive, Kingshurst, Birmingham B37 6HY.
Full details of the ‘Nepsis’ Conference can be found HERE. Those wishing to participate in the conference are asked to fill in the registration form via THIS LINK.
