Safe Families in Birmingham

We are so excited to share with you that Safe Families have been awarded a contract from Birmingham City Council to support families across the city starting in Spring 2020!

Safe Families is a national Christian charity working with local authorities and churches across the UK to connect struggling families into community. At Safe Families we believe no one should be alone. That’s why, with and through the local church we offer support, hope and belonging to improve the lives of those in our communities.

As many of you will know we have been on a bit of a journey with Safe Families in Birmingham. After some really promising exploratory work back in 2015/16 with the Local Authority, churches and volunteers we were all disappointed this did not result in a contract to work in the city. However that work was not in vain and this September, Birmingham confirmed they have now secured us the funds to allow us to launch in 2020.
