The tenth annual ‘Thy Kingdom Come‘ prayer novena will take place from Ascension Day (Thursday 29 May) to Pentecost (Sunday 8 June).
‘Thy Kingdom Come’ is an ecumenical prayer movement that invites Christians around the world to pray from Ascension to Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus. Since its inception in May 2016, Thy Kingdom Come has grown into a movement which unites more than a million Christians in prayer, in nearly 90% of countries worldwide, across 85 different denominations and traditions. In 2025, Christians across the globe are encouraged to pray that God’s Spirit will work in the lives of five people who have not responded with their ‘Yes’ to God’s call.

Among the resources on offer this year is an Prayer Journal, which features contributions from (among others) Cardinal Vincent Nichols (Catholic Bishops Conference of England of England and Wales), Bishop Rose Hudson Wilkin (Church of England), His Eminence, Archbishop Angaelos (Coptic Orthodox Church), Archbishop Andrew Chan (Hong Kong, Anglican Communion) and Bishop Mike Royal (Churches Together in England). . Download the journal free-of-charge via THIS LINK. There is also a Digital Detox Journal for young people (Available HERE).

The Most Reverend Stephen Cottrell (Archbishop of York) has produced a booklet entitled ‘Ten lessons – one great hope,’ which can be downloaded free-of-charge via THIS LINK. The booklet is also available in Spanish, Portuguese, Albanian, Russian and Chinese HERE.
