Strike-A-Chord Worship Masterclass

One million adults took up playing an instrument during the first lockdown and UK sales of musical instruments increased by a whopping 80%. Despite this rise in the number of instruments, many still have to wait till Sunday (at church) before they can enjoy an uplifting worship experience! What could be the reason?

An estimated 6 out of 10 homes in Britain have an instrument but don’t have an Altar of Worship! If each Christian home had a Worship Altar, individuals and families can enjoy powerful intimate moments with God in worship, from the comfort and privacy of their homes.

In an uplifting group-coaching atmosphere, the Strike-A-Chord Worship Masterclass will help each participant learn how to transform their instrument into a Worship Altar and their home into a Sanctuary of Praise. With very simple techniques, this inspirational learning experience helps you get the best out of your instrument and enjoy private moments in worship.

The facilitator, Samuel Jonathan, is the Founder & Lead Facilitator of the Strike-A-Chord Music-Making Project, based in Birmingham. For 5 decades across 3 continents of the world, Samuel has been fully engaged in the worship ministry. He started out with percussive instruments, moved on to the keyboard and eventually picked up the bass guitar. Today, based in Birmingham, he is No. 1 on ReverbNation’s local charts for Christian Music. His signature approach to coaching is exciting, hands-on and uplifting.

Areas of Focus shall include:

  • Simple ways of playing uplifting worship chords (sounds)
  • How to write and compose songs while in His presence!
  • The best strategy for optimising the time you spend with God
  • Getting the best out of your instrument (regardless of your level of playing)
  • How to give worship that yields results

This masterclass will be very interactive and you will be able to ask questions that are important to you about worship.

This learning experience is suitable for adults of all ages and perfect for beginners, veterans and those at the intermediary level. Participants are invited to bring along their instruments of choice as long as it does not require excessive gear or amplification. For instance, a bass guitar with a small amp/speaker combo is fine. Please bring your instruments along.

The Strike-A-Chord Worship Masterclass takes place 11:00 am on Saturday 11th February in Aston, Birmingham and the cut-off date for registration is Friday, 3rd February, 2023.
